The BCBS of AZ ADVANTAGE Executive Management has sent the email blast below to their entire downline:
Dear Valued Partners,
First and foremost, please accept our sincere gratitude for your continued patience and unwavering partnership. Commission payments, Member Services and Broker Support have been a challenge for us this year. The reality is we were not prepared for the sheer volume of membership we received during AEP and after. It seems we get over one hurdle and another one pops up unexpectedly down the road. As the leader of this team, I take full responsibility for these unforeseen issues and you have my sincere apologies. You also have our promise, our sleeves are rolled up and we will get these issues resolved in advance of the upcoming AEP.
We want to extend our gratitude to our General Agent distribution partners. Berwick Insurance Group, Bishop & Brown, Black, Gould & Associates, Medicare Health Benefits, Senior Lifestyle Solutions and Western Asset Protection have afforded us the opportunity to address these issues by providing support to their down line with member services and more importantly commission issues. We are aware of the backlash our GA’s have received on our behalf and we can’t thank them enough. We do, however; want to be clear, our GA partners are in no way to blame. These growing pains you are experiencing with us are in our court and we need to get them fixed immediately. Our GA’s are simply following our lead and trying to clear the path, so we can get resolution timely.
Lastly, we understand the heightened level of concern and frustration. Many brokers have shared with us their bad experiences with other carriers or have contacted us directly. We want to assure you, this is not a sprint and we are committed to this market long term. We are equally committed to our broker distribution partners, however; we realize we have plenty that needs to improve. I’ve asked our Operations Manager to work with the Commissions Department regarding these issues. Among them is the matter of commission payouts for $17 PMPM vs. $204 Lump Sum. Our VP of Sales has also committed his time to doing everything he can to get this corrected. More than likely it will require a systematic update, so I do not have a timeline to share, but will keep everyone posted on our progress.
Once again, thank you for your support and understanding….
